Q: What was your immediate first thought when you heard the rough scratch of Marjaniye?

Pooja: Honestly? My first thought was, this song has a feeling.
Even in the rough scratch, it was so catchy and romantic. I could instantly imagine a love story. Like, what kind of chemistry we could create, how the visuals would look.
I just knew I wanted to be a part of it. I wanted to bring that emotion alive on screen. And the best part? It happened!

Q: Selling romance in a 3-minute video isn't easy. How did you and Raahi break the ice on set?

Pooja: (Laughs) There was no ice to break!
Raahi and I are really good friends. We've worked together many times before, so it's always fun. It never feels like work.
He's so talented, you know? I genuinely love collaborating with him. We enjoy every bit of it, and I think that comfort shows in Marjaniye. It was all easy and happy.

Q: What's the most unexpected or touching reaction you've gotten in your DMs since Marjaniye released?

Pooja: Oh, this one made my heart melt.
The most touching messages are from people who said they actually felt the love story. Not just watched it, but felt it.
Some sweethearts wrote that a certain moment reminded them of their own partner, their own relationship. Someone they love.
Let's be real, as an actor, that's the biggest compliment ever. If you've made someone feel something personal, you've done your job. Right?

Q: How was your overall experience shooting for Marjaniye?

Pooja: It was such a beautiful experience.
The energy on set was so positive. According to official credits, we shot in Pune and Ladakh and wow, the locations are just dreamy.
I genuinely loved playing this romantic character. It taught me so much too. People think a 3-minute music video is easy, but it's not.
You've to think about everything - your expressions, your body language, that little chemistry between the lines. I loved exploring that side of storytelling. I'm so happy I got to be a part of this project.

Q: How did you feel when you watched the final cut for the very first time?

Pooja: I was so excited and a little nervous! You know how it is.
When you've lived through the shoot, you have a picture in your head. Then the final cut brings everything together - music, performances, locations, emotions.
My first reaction was just, "Okay, this feels like the story we wanted to tell." It all clicked. And I was really, really happy with how it came together.

Q: Tell us something about you that people may not know.

Pooja: People think I'm just chill and easygoing. And I am!
But on set, I'm a total perfectionist. Like, I notice the smallest things - how an expression feels, how a scene lands.
I pay attention to tiny details because I genuinely love what I do. I always want to give my best. Always.

Q: Now that Marjaniye is out, what is the next project audiences will see you in?

Pooja: Ah, I wish I could tell you everything!
There are a few exciting things in the pipeline and I'm really looking forward to sharing them. I don't want to spill too much just yet.
But yes, I'm definitely exploring different kinds of work and characters. Hopefully, you'll get to see a totally different side of me very soon. Fingers crossed!

Q: Where do you see yourself evolving as an actress over the next couple of years? What's your ultimate benchmark?

Pooja: Over the next couple of years, I want to challenge myself.
I want characters that are very different from who I am in real life. I don't want to be restricted to one image or one kind of role.
My ultimate benchmark? I want to reach a point where people forget they're watching me and completely believe I'm the character.
For me, success isn't just about being seen. It's about being remembered for the work and the emotions I bring. I want to keep learning, keep growing, and take on roles that really push me as an actress.
