Disney+ Release Date & New Poster for "Disenchanted"

A fresh release date for the Disney+ premiere of the upcoming sequel Disenchanted has been announced via a brand-new poster. The Walt Disney Studios-released image indicates that Disenchanted would arrive on the platform on Friday, November 18, six days earlier than anticipated. It was originally planned for Thanksgiving Day, November 24, to see the release of the eagerly anticipated sequel.
Fans of Enchanted around the world have been waiting more than ten years to once again enjoy Amy Adams' singing and dancing Disney princess, Giselle, so the news that Disenchanted will release a little earlier is undoubtedly music to their ears.
Giselle (Amy Adams) and Robert (Patrick Dempsey) have been married for 15 years, but Giselle has grown weary of the city and the couple decides to relocate their expanding family to the peaceful suburb of Monroeville in quest of a more idyllic existence. Sadly, it isn't the simple solution she was hoping for. Giselle feels more out of place than ever in suburbia, which has a completely different set of laws and a local queen bee named Malvina Monroe (Maya Rudolph). Frustrated that finding her happily ever after hasn't been so simple, she seeks aid from the magic of Andalasia, but inadvertently converts the entire town into a true fairy tale and jeopardises her family's future happiness. Giselle is currently in a race against time to break the spell and figure out what her and her family's definition of happily ever after actually entails.

In the upcoming film Disenchanted, Patrick Dempsey and Amy Adams will reprise their roles as Robert and Giselle, respectively. Maya Rudolph, Yvette Nicole Brown, Jayma Mays, Gabriella Baldacchino, Idina Menzel, and James Marsden round out the rest of the supporting cast.

"She is beginning to grasp that happily ever after is just not a thing after ten years of living in the real world after ten years as an animated character in a country that believes in it. She's therefore a little disappointed in the way life is for her because the baby is challenging and she and her daughter can't connect. She tries to manage the many things that are happening in her universe, and that is where everything goes wrong."

Disenchanted, which was directed by Adam Shankman from a screenplay by Brigitte Hales and a story by J. David Stem, David N. Weiss, and Richard LaGravenese, includes songs with music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz, a three-time Oscar-winning lyricist, and Alan Menken, an eight-time Oscar-winning composer, whose work on the Enchanted soundtrack earned three nominations for an Academy Award.
