Megastar Chiranjeevi will star in Godfather, the Telugu adaptation of Mohanlal's Malayalam flick Lucifer. Salman Khan, interestingly enough, plays a pivotal role in the film as well. It was just released that Salman Khan and Chiranjeevi's new movie, Taar Maar Takkar Maar, is now out in theatres. Everyone seems to be digging this tune. They can't get enough of Salman and Chiranjeevi's swagger and dancing in the video.
The producers, it seems, are doing everything they can to spread the word about Godfather in India. After all, it stars Salman Khan, a national celebrity who commands a massive audience. Marketing for the film has begun, and audiences are anxious to see Salman and Chiranjeevi share the screen.
But Megastar Chiranjeevi is unhappy about the Hindi version of The Godfather being released. If a recent rumour from telugustop.com is to be believed, the producers are fielding proposals from the Hindi market to release Godfather in Hindi dubbed form. However, Chiranjeevi is rejecting this idea.
As far as I can tell, Chiranjeevi is extremely downtrodden by Acharya's failure. That's why he's so invested in Godfather's success. They promptly shot down suggestions that Godfather be made available in Hindi.
Superstar Chiranjeevi thinks the OTT service already offers the Hindi dub of the film Lucifer. That's why it could not do well with Hindi moviegoers at the box office. There is, however, no formal confirmation of the same.
Godfather is Mohan Raja's next film, and it's set to come out on October 5, 2022. Chiranjeevi's film also features a cast including Nayanthara, Satyadev Kanchana, Sunil, Murali Sharma, Brahmaji, and others. Ram Charan, RB Choudary, and NV Prasad produce the film through their companies, Konidela Production Company and Super Good Films. S Thaman scored Godfather, and Nirav Shah filmed and edited it, with help from Marthand Venkatesh in the sound department.
