A "very significant" health crisis for Brentt Leakes was just verified by the 54-year-old celebrity on social media.
In an Instagram Story video, NeNe stated: "Brentt had a stroke and congestive heart failure two weeks ago today. He is too young—only 23—for something like that to occur to him.
Brentt "doesn't drink or do drugs," the actress affirmed, and physicians are still attempting to determine what is causing the problem.
Bryson, 32-year-old brother of NeNe, said: "Brentt doesn't drink or use drugs. They have undoubtedly tested him for each of those things. He was also given an HIV test. They speculated that he may have acquired COVID and been unaware of it.
Pray for her son, the "Real Housewives of Atlanta" actress has encouraged her fans.
It was quite awful, she remarked.
"I'm not even going to get into the specifics. What took place, how I learned about it, and how he was doing. A stroke is undoubtedly a serious condition. He is having difficulty speaking as a result, so please keep us in your prayers. Continue to offer up prayers.
NeNe also celebrated a year since the passing of her husband Gregg Leakes last month.
Gregg lost his fight with cancer on September 1, 2021, at the age of 66.
Twelve months after his passing, NeNe, whose true name is Linnethia Leakes, paid tribute to him by posting footage of the two of them dancing.
NeNe posted a video of them together with the caption, "1 year in Heaven today! We adore you and miss you terribly. (sic)"
