Sana Amin Sheikh (born August 10, 1989) is an Indian actress and radio DJ who primarily acts in Hindi television shows and films. Sana made her acting debut as Ritu Shah in Kya Mast Hai Life. She has appeared in over 30 television serials and is one of the most popular television stars.
Sana has appeared in series such as Jeet Jayenge Hum, Gustakh Dil, Million Dollar Girl, Bhootu Season 1, Krishnadasi, and Perfect Pati. She appeared in episodes such as Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi 3, Tere Shehar Mein, and Mann Kee Awaaz Pratigya as an antagonist/supporting character.
Amin made her Bollywood debut as Anjali Bhosle in Singham and has also appeared in Table No. 21, Island City, and Bamfaad in supporting roles.
Sana is originally from Mumbai. Her great-grandfather, Ashraf Khan, was a Gujarati stage actor and vocalist who played the narrator in Mehboob Khan's film Roti.
Private life
From 2016 to 2022, she was married to television director Aijaz Sheikh.
Career
Sheikh has been an RJ for Radio Mirchi 98.3 FM since August 2004. One day in class, while listening to Mirchi, she overheard an RJ urging people to audition for the position of radio jockey. She was instantly requested to join the station as an RJ after a successful audition. She hosted a show called 'Khoobsurat, Sana ke Saath,' as well as TRP - Television Radio Par RJ with Mirchi Love and Ishq FM.
Sheikh began her career as a child performer, playing the lead part of young Savi in Hasratein on Zee TV and Vaishali in Junoon on DD channel in 1995. She reappeared in 2009 and rose to prominence as one of the stars, Ritu Shah, in the Disney Channel India Original Series, Kya Mast Hai Life. She later portrayed the prominent part of Suman as the lead heroine in the Sony Entertainment Television television series Jeet Jayenge Hum. (India). Another drama series in which she appeared as the lead actress, this time as Reet, was Zee TV's Mera Naam Karegi Roshan. She played the character Ganga in the popular Star Plus serial Mann Kee Awaaz Pratigya.The term "responsibility" refers to the act of determining whether or not a person is responsible for the actions of another person. Singham, directed by Rohit Shetty, was her Bollywood debut. She also appeared as Avanti Bansal in Channel V's Million Dollar Girl. She starred as Aradhya in Colors TV's popular drama Krishnadasi. In the television series Bhootu, she portrayed Shuchi Sharma.
