Prior to the animated series' debut on Disney Channel on February 10, Disney has revealed that it has ordered a second season of Marvel's Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur.
Soon after it airs on television, the comic book adaptation will be available to stream on Disney+.

At New York Comic Con on Saturday, the news of the renewal was released.

There was also an introduction and a clip from "Moon Girl Magic," the show's theme tune. Executive music producer Raphael Saadiq wrote and produced the song, and series actress Diamond White, who plays the character Lunella aka Moon Girl, sang it live.

An overview of the series stated, "The series chronicles the exploits of 13-year-old super-genius Lunella Lafayette and her 10-ton T-Rex, Devil Dinosaur, whom she unintentionally drags through time into present-day New York City."
With the help of her closest friend Casey, her family, and Devil's fierce loyalty and strength, Lunella sets out to change the world and defend her Lower East Side neighbourhood.

In addition to Fred Tatasciore, who plays Devil Dinosaur, Alfre Woodard, who plays Mimi, Lunella's grandmother, Libe Barer, who plays Casey, Lunella's best friend and manager, Sasheer Zamata, who plays Adria, Jermaine Fowler, who plays James Jr., Gary Anthony Williams, who plays Pops, and series executive producer Laurence Fishburne, who plays the trickster The Beyonder
