Now that we know when Good Omens season 2 will be available on Amazon Prime Video

While we continue to wait for Netflix to renew The Sandman for a second season, Amazon Prime Video has already ordered a second season of Neil Gaiman's other popular TV adaptation of one of his most well-known books. After the apocalyptic comedy-drama Good Omens stunned reviewers and audiences in 2019, fans have been itching to see more of Michael Sheen's Aziraphale the angel and David Tennant's Crowley the Demon. Finally, we know when to anticipate their arrival.
According to the Good Omens panel at this weekend's New York Comic-Con, season 2 of the supernatural drama will bless or potentially curse Prime Video in the summer of 2023. Four whole years will have passed since the first run appeared on our screens, but it will undoubtedly be worth the wait. Of course, it's a miracle that there will be further episodes at all given that the first ones completely covered the storyline of Gaiman and Pratchett's 1990 novel of the same name.
The GO NYCC panel also provided some intriguing casting updates in addition to confirming its release date. Several cast members from the first season will return in new roles, as previously promised. For instance, Miranda Richardson is involved as Shacks, a demon who replaces Crowley after the high-ups in hell fire him (or low-downs, as the case may be).

Additionally, Maggie Service and Nina Sosanya are back as, well, Maggie and Nina, a coffee shop owner with a messy love life and the proprietor of a record store next to Aziraphale's bookshop. In the meantime, Quelin Sepulveda, one of the new actors, plays the part of Muriel, a "good" angel who finally gets the chance to visit Earth after serving a 6,000-year desk job in heaven.
