Nike Air Max 1 Gets a Double Denim Makeover in Sneaker News

Greetings from Sneaker News #66. This week, denim is the task, and Nike has a "Dirty Denim" colorway of its Nike Air Max 1. If you're not in the mood for denim, there are plenty of other things to look at. The shoe giant also adds denim to the new Nike Air Jordan 1 "Vachetta Tan." Salomon is commemorating its 75th anniversary by paying homage to a '90s classic, adidas is reviving the Campus '00s from the past, and New Balance is beginning from scratch with the 9060s. See all of that and more down below.
With a release that pays homage to a drop from way back in 2003, the Nike Air Max 1 is going denim. Like your favourite pair of jeans, these sneakers are made to be worn repeatedly. A Lemon Wash midsole gives the shoes an instantly retro appearance, and the top is composed of premium leather and denim that gets softer with wear. Be prepared to purchase from Nike on September 21.
Converse is returning to its roots by releasing its first basketball performance shoe with CX technology. The CX foam midsole from the most current All-Star collection is used in the new All Star BB Prototype CX, which incorporates it into a more robust, long-lasting performance athletic silhouette. The new basketball shoe benefits from improved impact absorption, a new lock down mechanism with improved feel due to taller walls, and new dynamic traction. These ones seem rather nice and are a touch stronger and lighter than those we've previously seen. Starting on September 13th, Converse.com.au and a few more retailers will carry the All Star BB Prototype CX.
The adidas Campus is typically associated with nostalgia for the 1980s, but in the early 2000s, the design was updated to be more contemporary. That required enlarging everything, providing the shoe soft tongues, and making the midsole thicker. These are a reproduction of the 2000s model, bringing all that Y2K nostalgia to the table at a time when the shoe's '80s silhouette is also experiencing a resurgence in favour. To buy, go to Up There right away.
Nearly all two-tone colorways of the Air Jordan 1 are attractive, but this specific pair stands out for some reason. The "Vachetta Tan" creates a timeless appearance by combining tan and black. These are the second set of denim shoes this week, featuring superior leather in tan and black denim on the upper. If you love the Jordan 1 in terms of details, you won't find anything to discourage you here. Nike will discontinue them as of September 17.
As part of its 75th anniversary celebration, Salomon is paying homage to some of its most recognisable silhouettes. This model pays homage to the Adventure 7, a shoe that was initially introduced in 1992. With this release, Salomon enthusiasts are able to relive their favourite brand's classic colour combinations and material compositions. Despite being based on outdoor gear from the 1990s, these sneakers look incredibly modern given the current outdoor sneaker craze. To purchase, go to Subtype straight now.
J. Balvin and Nike collaborated on the wildly successful Air Jordan 1 release from last year, and the Latin megastar is returning with a fresh collaboration. This time, he's donned the Air Jordan 2 and Jordan slides, decorating them with colour and a cloudy sky design. The slides have panels that have been puffed up, and the velcro straps show his insignia. They are finished up with a soft, glow-in-the-dark underfoot. They are marked as "Coming Soon" by Nike.
With the Nike Air Max 1 "Crepe Hemp," the textures are everything. Hemp canvas, suede, and leather are combined in the upper's construction. The colour scheme provides the ideal balance of beige and brown tones with a splash of mint green on the Swoosh. The midsole, however, is praised for being incredibly plush and fashionable. On September 15, these are scheduled to go on sale at Nike.
The New Balance 9060 is a modern New Balance model that draws design cues from the 99X series of sneakers. With hefty detailing, the 9060s drew inspiration from Y2K futurism while looking to the past for a glimpse of the future. The intended effect is visible motion, which is precisely what the wavy lines and enlarged proportions achieve. Pigskin suede overlays and a mesh base are used in the all-black upper, and ABZORB and SBS cushioning are used in the midsole. The release is presently marked as "Coming Soon" on Subtype.
