Lee Tae-hwan is a South Korean actor, model, and singer who was born on February 21, 1995. Since his on-screen debut in 2013, he has appeared in a number of television dramas and web series, including Pride and Prejudice (2014) and W. He is a 5urprise member.
Career
In 2013, at the age of eighteen, Lee Tae-hwan made his official acting debut with the members of 5urprise in the short TV series After School: Lucky or Not. He then portrayed an ice hockey player in High School King of Savvy, and he also played the younger version of Lee Deok-wa in the two-episode SBS drama Wonderful Day in October.
Lee appeared as an investigator and former taekwondo athlete in the MBC drama Pride and Prejudice in 2014. Lee then appeared in his first period drama, Splendid Politics, as young Prince Gwanghae.
Lee rose to prominence in 2016 for his role as a former gangster and bodyguard in the film Please Come Back, Mister. He then played a martial arts instructor in the MBC fantasy thriller W. The same year, he was cast as a volleyball captain in the Korean-Chinese web drama Thumping Spike. Lee also made his feature film debut in Su Saek, a film about young men's friendship.
Lee starred in MBC's weekend drama Father, I'll Take Care of You, a 50-episode family drama in which he played one of the unmarried sons, from 2016 to 2017. From 2017 to 2018, he starred in another weekend drama, My Golden Life, as an industrial design student. With over 40% ratings, the drama was a success, propelling Lee's popularity.
Lee was cast as a famous author in tvN's romantic comedy drama What's Wrong with Secretary Kim in 2018.
Lee appeared as a first-year student at the Department of Food Crops in the SBS youth drama Farmers' Academy in 2019.

Service in the military
Lee's agency announced on June 21, 2022, that he will enlist for mandatory military service on June 27 without specifying the location or time.
