Batman's dark, gothic surroundings have influenced the clothing he has created through his brand MSFTSrep as well as his personal clothing style, with him wearing Batman protective armor to Kanye West and Kim Kardashian's wedding as well as his prom. Will told the media that Smith's primary motivation is to establish his own residence, and that his children are not subject to strict parenting rules: "We don't believe in punishment in general. We would sit Jaden down when he was five or six, and all he had to do was explain why what he did was the right thing for his life." On The Ellen DeGeneres Show on May 15, 2013, Smith and his father appeared together, and Smith said: The thing that people don't get is that everything at his house is free. So I can get anything and everything at his house, so I'll be there for another 20, 30 years. He [Will Smith] says I can get my own house as soon as I make a movie bigger than one of his.
