Fast & Furious director and Shang-Chi actor to collaborate on popular streaming series

Simu Liu shot to stardom when he starred in Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings for the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and he hasn't stopped since. His next leading role is in the blockbuster streaming series Seven Wonders, which is being developed by Prime Video.
According to Deadline, an impressive roster of big-budget experience is already involved. Fast & Furious veteran Justin Lin is slated to direct from screenplays written by Adam Cozad of The Legend of Tarzan, and regular Dwayne Johnson collaborator and producer Beau Flynn of Black Adam, Red Notice, and Jungle Cruise is also on board.

The plot centres on Dr. Nate Grady, a botanist who works for Liu, and Sloane Seydoux, a mysterious fixer, as they travel the world to solve a mystery involving the Seven Ancient Wonders of the World. The high concept adventure, which is based on Ben Mezrich's novel, has the makings of an epic work of escapism.

Fans of the MCU will be wondering how this will affect the release date of the Shang-Chi sequel that was previously announced, especially since Liu will be offering support in both Avengers: The Kang Dynasty and Secret Wars.

But Seven Wonders will be a top focus for Prime Video, and it's obvious why. Sparks will undoubtedly fly if you pair a hugely popular MCU superhero with one of the best action filmmakers in the business and place them in a seductive situation.
