On September 16, the pop star uploaded a video to Instagram of himself kissing a devoted female fan at what appeared to be a meet-and-greet before the first of his two Las Vegas gigs. As she takes a photo, he starts kissing her on the cheek, but as she rapidly turns her head to give him a lengthy, passionate kiss on the lips, the moment becomes more heated. He eventually gently pushes her away and runs off as she tries to record the kiss.
The video's tagline said simply, "Friday night in #LASVEGAS @resortsworldlv see you tonight!!!! axs.com/enriqueinvegas," and featured Iglesias' breakthrough track "Bailamos," which was released in 1999. The fan's identity is unknown, and it's not known if the singer had ever spoken to her before the occasion.
She is really blessed, one fan said. "My dream hahahaha," another person wrote.
However, some fans weren't at all pleased. "If another girl kisses you, I don't like it! Only kiss Anna when you want to, "Iglesias and his wife Anna Kournikova have twins Nicholas and Lucy, age 4, and Mary, age 2, according to a user who posted in Spanish.
Another fan added, "OMG he's married lady," while a user questioned, "How on earth does Anna put up with this?"
Iglesias has not added any more comments to the video, and Kournikova has not made any.
A other user called attention to a bias. They wrote, "If a man did this to a female artist?!" "Not ok."
However, one admirer joked in their message: "What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas."
