Elizaveta Mikhailovna Boyarskaya (Russian: лиaвета иаловна орска, born December 20, 1985) is a Russian stage and cinema actoress.
Biography
Childhood and education
Elizaveta was born in Leningrad on December 20, 1985, to Mikhail Boyarsky and Larisa Luppian, two prominent Russian performers. Her father is Russian and Polish, and her mother is Estonian, German, Russian, and Polish. She graduated from a modeling school as a teenager. She struggled with her grades throughout high school, but she caught up in the past few years thanks to individual tutoring. As a result, Elizaveta has learned two foreign languages: English and German. Elizaveta was interested in studying "Public relations" at the Faculty of Journalism at Saint Petersburg State University when she was ready to graduate. However, after completing preparatory classes, she lost interest in the area. Elizaveta opted to attend the Theatre Institute after seeing the opening of the student theater "On Mokhovoy" and various shows at Theatre Lensoveta. As Boyarskaya subsequently recalled, her parents did not discourage her from making such a decision, but did warn her about "all the hidden obstacles."
She has been a member of the Maly Drama Theatre (Theatre of Europe) in St. Petersburg since 2006.
Boyarskaya spent several months preparing for admission to the Saint Petersburg State Theatre Arts Academy. Lev Dodin took over as her boss. She won the Presidential Scholarship during her studies and graduated from SPbGATI in 2007.
Her career began in 2001 with the sequel picture National Security Agent 3 and continued in 2004 with the German feature Downfall.
Tanya was her first major cinematic role, in the 2005 film The First After God, directed by Vasily Chiginsky. Another notable role was that of Vera in Alla Surikova's film You Will Not Leave Me, in which Boyarskaya co-starred with her father, Mikhail Boyarsky. She rose to prominence with the 2006 film Park of the Soviet Period and Timur Bekmambetov's 2007 feature The Irony of Fate 2.
Boyarskaya was supposed to play d'Artagnan's daughter in the film The Return of the Musketeers, or The Treasures of Cardinal Mazarin, but she was replaced by Lyanka Gryu. She declined since she was starring in the film The Admiral and the 12-episode television series I Will Return at the same time. Furthermore, she stated that she did not find Yungvald-Khilkevich's script especially impressive.
Anna Timiryova was played by Boyarskaya in the 2008 film The Admiral. She later appeared in the films Do Not Tell, Five Brides, Happy New Year, Moms!, Status: Free, and Anna Karenina: Vronsky's Story, as well as the 2013 television series Sherlock Holmes.
She voiced Baba Yaga in the anime Three Heroes on Distant Shores in 2012, and the wolf Bianca in the cartoon Sheep and Wolves in 2016.
In 2010, Elizaveta Boyarskaya married actor Maksim Matveyev. Boyarskaya gave birth to her son on April 7, 2012.
In 2018, she had a second child.
