Siwa JoJo and Candace The So You Think You Can Dance judge continued his battle with Candace by criticising her for excluding stories about homosexual couples from her new network Great American Family. In a popular TikTok video earlier this year, JoJo referred to Candace as the rudest celebrity she has ever encountered. After JoJo said that the Full House actress had been nasty to her on a red carpet, Candace apologised. Fans speculate that their tight relationship may be due to the fact that JoJo is openly homosexual and Candace is a well-known conservative star. Because of its steadfast beliefs, Candace recently left Hallmark for the GAF Network.
The season 30 runner-up of Dancing With The Stars was unable to keep her mouth shut as Candace revealed that one of her goals for GAF is to convey traditional marital stories. On her Instagram feed, JoJo posted a headline regarding Candace's remarks. After everything that occurred just a few months ago, JoJo said, "I can't believe she would not only make a movie with the purpose of excluding LGBTQIA+, but then also brag about it in the press. Jodie Sweetin, a longtime friend of Cameron's and a co-star in Full House, offered encouragement in the comments area for the celebrity.
"This is nasty and cruel to a whole community of people," JoJo said. After making just one Instagram post, the celebrity continued to advocate for the LGBTQ+ community. JoJo addressed the situation on her Instagram account, labelling Candace's remarks as "hilariously embarrassing." In several Instagram stories, she continued to make fun of the actress, stating she couldn't believe someone had heard Candace's remarks and thought they were funny enough to use as a headline. JoJo remarked, "I'm like embarrassed like for her.
Since coming out, the former DWTS participant has been a devoted ally of the LGBTQ+ community, so this feels like the ultimate betrayal, especially after they made up earlier this year. Growing Pains actor Candace Cameron's brother Kirk also publicly opposes homosexual marriage, and fans have naturally been resistant to their conservative views. The majority of Candace's Full House co-stars vehemently disagree with her views, therefore they haven't had her back. Jodie openly backed Black Lives Matter in 2020 and took part in a pro-choice demonstration in the summer of 2022 in addition to expressing support for LGBTQ+ people on JoJo's post.
The network's decision to air more inclusive and varied movies on their channel may have anything to do with Candace's departure from Hallmark. The Holiday Sitter, the channel's first movie with a prominent homosexual couple, will be released in 2022. In 2020, the channel debuted The Christmas House with a queer couple. These movies obviously do not reflect Candace's values. She may not be willing to compromise on her conventional views, but she cannot prevent others from holding different views, especially those who are directly impacted by her morality. The more spiritual network will make Candace considerably happier, but the So You Think You Can Dance judge won't be cheering her on.
