Ai Hashimoto (born 12 January 1996) is a Japanese actress, fashion model, and singer.
Hashimoto, the second of three daughters, was born in Kumamoto, Kumamoto Prefecture. Hashimoto won the HUAHUA audition sponsored by Newcome in 2008; her mother chose her for the audition because she had the strongest face complexion among the three sisters.
Out of 5,267 applications, Hashimoto was chosen as the youngest "Miss Seventeen" by fashion magazine Seventeen in 2009, alongside Emi Kudo, Arisa Takada, and Alice Hirose. The same year, she made her acting debut in the film Give and Go, playing a deaf girl who is obsessed with basketball.
In 2010, Hashimoto starred in Confessions, and in 2012, she starred in The Kirishima Thing, for which she received new face awards from the Japan Academy and Kinema Junpo. She also starred in Sadako 3D as Sadako.
