Gizem Karaca (born September 7, 1992) is a Turkish actress and model who competed in the Miss World 2011 pageant.

Karaca placed second overall in the Miss Turkey competition held on 2 June 2011 at the TIM Show Centre, qualifying her as Turkey's representative for Miss World.

Childhood and Career

Gizem Karaca was born in Istanbul on September 7, 1992. Münevver Karaca is her mother, and Cüneyt Karaca is her father. On her mother's side, she is of Albanian descent. She spent her childhood in the United States and Canada because her family relocated to the United States when she was a child. Karaca returned to Turkey after finishing elementary school in the United States and secondary school in Canada. She won the Faculty of French Language and Literature at Istanbul University after graduating from high school.

After graduating from Istanbul University's Faculty of French Language and Literature, she decided to compete in a beauty pageant to distract herself from the difficult lessons. She finished second in the Miss Turkey 2011 beauty pageant. Gizem Karaca spent the summer of 2013 in America studying acting at the New York Film Academy. On September 16, 2017, Gizem Karaca married Kemal Ekmekçi.

"Güzel Köylü," "Benim Hala Umudum Var," "Alparslan: Büyük Selçuklu," "Eve Düşen Yldrm," and "Adn Feriha Koydum: Emirin Yolu" are among her best-known series.

She appeared in the film Hürkuş, which was based on the life of aviator Vecihi Hürkuş.
