Sattawat Sethakorn (; RTGS: Sattawat Setthakon); born 26 April 1982 (age 35), commonly known as Tae (Thai: ; RTGS: Te) or Tang Chenyu (Chinese: ; pinyin: Táng Chény), is a Thai actor and singer working in the Chinese-language entertainment industry. He began his career in Thailand, moved to Taiwan in the early 2000s, and has subsequently worked on mainland Chinese projects.
Career
At the age of 19, Sethakorn decided to move to Taiwan to develop his career further. He quickly improved his Chinese language abilities, only occasionally needing translation assistance in the course of his work.
Private life
Sethakorn was born in Kanchanaburi, Thailand. His maternal grandfather was of Teochew Chinese and Taiwanese heritage, and his other grandparents were Thai natives. His parents are educators. He has one sister who is three years his junior. He graduated from Sethaburbampen School in Srinakharinwirot in Bachelor of Arts after finishing all of the requisite courses in just two years. He married in a Japanese ceremony in June 2013 and divorced in 2016.
