Naveen Polishetty (born December 26, 1989) is a Telugu and Hindi film actor and screenwriter.

He made his lead debut in the 2019 film Agent Sai Srinivasa Athreya, for which he won the Zee Cine Awards Telugu - Best Find of the Year. Later, in the film Chhichhore, he made his Hindi debut (2019). He had a successful box office performance in the comedy film Jathi Ratnalu in 2021.
Early years
Polishetty was born in Hyderabad, India, into a middle-class family. His father works in the pharmaceutical industry, and his mother works in a bank. He has an elder brother and a twin elder sister. His siblings have both settled in the United States. He earned a civil engineering degree from the Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology (also known as NIT Bhopal) and worked for a software company in Pune. He later moved to England to work as an engineer, but he was dissatisfied with his job. He then returned to India without informing his parents, and began to live in Mumbai by renting a house and working part-time jobs in order to pursue a full-time acting career. He began working in theatre and appeared in several plays.
Career
Polishetty made his Telugu film debut with Life Is Beautiful (2012). He also had a minor role in Mahesh Babu^/s 1: Nenokkadine (2014). Polishetty moved to theatre and stand-up comedy after his subsequent Telugu projects were either shelved or replaced by other actors.
He later worked with All India Bakchod to create YouTube skits. He received a lot of positive feedback for his portrayal of a "average" guy in Honest Engineering Campus Placements.
Polishetty returned to Telugu cinema in 2019 with the comedy thriller Agent Sai Srinivasa Athreya, which he co-wrote and starred in. He won the Zee Cine Awards Telugu - Best Film of the Year for the film. After that, he made his Bollywood debut in Nitesh Tiwari^/s Chhichhore. Both films did extremely well at the box office. After that, he appeared in the 2021 comedy film Jathi Ratnalu. The film was a commercial success at the box office, grossing Rs. 70 crore. As a result, the film became Polishetty^/s biggest success. Anupama Chopra considered his character, Jogipet Srikanth, to be "terrific" and "a charming everyman." He signed a film with Anushka Shetty under the UV Creations banner in May 2021 and will next be seen in the sequel to his previous film Jathi Ratnalu. Polishetty will reprise his role from the first film in that sequel.
