Stokes was born as the only child of Jeff Stokes and Jennifer Canning in Annapolis, Maryland. When he was a few months old, his parents divorced. Stokes later moved to Canton, Georgia, with his mother, and then to Orlando, Florida, as a teenager, where he attended Timber Creek High School. He earned his bachelor^/s degree at Valencia College before going on to study at the University of Central Florida and Seminole State College. He aspired to be a professional ice hockey player as a child.
Career
Stokes began his acting career with small roles on television, including Stranger Things, Daytime Divas, and Tell Me Your Secrets.
In February 2019, he turned down an audition for Outer Banks before reading for the roles of Topper and later John B. The first season was released to positive reviews on April 15, 2020, and a second season was confirmed in July.
The following month, it was announced that he would play TJ in One of Us Is Lying. However, following the completion of the pilot filming in 2019, it was announced that Chase would not return due to a scheduling conflict with the second season of Outer Banks, and he was replaced.
Stokes and Madelyn Cline appeared in the music video for Kygo and Donna Summer^/s single "Hot Stuff" in September 2021.
Personal life
In June 2020, Stokes revealed that he was dating his Outer Banks co-star Madelyn Cline. The couple will divorce in October 2021. Stokes and Kelsea Ballerini have been dating since December 2022.
