Selena Gomez feels "grateful to be alive" following her health problems.
In her documentary, "My Mind and Me," the 30-year-old actor shared details of her ongoing health difficulties.
Selena, who has battled melancholy and anxiety, is heard saying in a clip from the film, "Just be who you are Selena. Your actions are unimportant to anyone. It^/s about accepting who I am and where I am. I^/m happy to be alive.
Selena, who underwent a kidney transplant in 2017 after being diagnosed with lupus, first gained notoriety on "Barney and Friends" when she was a young girl.
In spite of her desire to avoid being "very famous," Selena is determined to utilise her platform to promote kindness.
In the clip, she explains, "I^/ve worked my whole life, ever since I was a child. Although I don^/t want to be incredibly well-known, I am aware that if I am, I must make the most of my presence.
Selena has always struggled with self-confidence despite her popularity and fame.
The singer of the hit song "Lose You to Love Me" said, "That I^/m not good enough. I experienced a lot of that as I was growing up.
Selena, on the other hand, admitted earlier this year that she previously experienced over-sexualization when taking pictures for an album cover.
The top-charting artist feels that throughout the session, she was placed in a "unfair" situation.
"I actually did an album cover, and I was so mortified after I finished it," Selena admitted.
"I had to get through those emotions because I realised they were linked to a more serious issue that was occurring. I didn^/t necessarily enjoy my decision, but I believe I gave it my best effort and made an effort to be myself.
