Varun Toorkey is an Indian television actor best known for his roles in Qubool Hai as Shaad Khan and Humko Tumse Ho Gaya Hai Pyaar Kya Karein as Tushar Mallick.
Private life
Toorkey is a Parsi who was born and raised in Mumbai.
He attended Bombay Cambridge School in JB Nagar, Mumbai, and earned a B.com degree from Mithibai College.
Toorkey received acting training from Anupam Kher's Actor Prepares.
Career
Toorkey's first break into the industry came when he was 16 years old, on a compilation album called Ustad and the Divas. In the song Leja Leja Re, sung by Shreya Ghoshal and Ustad Sultan Khan, he played a computer professional. In 2006, the album was released.
In 2013, he made his television debut as Sankrant in Colors TV's Uttaran.
In 2015, he starred as Shaad Aftaab Khan opposite Surbhi Jyoti in Zee TV's Qubool Hai.
Toorkey played Tushar Malik opposite Ishani Sharma in Humko Tumse Ho Gaya Hai Pyaar Kya Karein in 2016.
He played Anant Singh Baghel in Saam Daam Dand Bhed from 2017 to 2018.
In 2019, he played Rishabh opposite Shivangi Joshi in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. Toorkey has been playing Kunal Malhotra in Choti Sarrdaarni alongside Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia and Mahir Pandhi since July 2021 and will continue to do so until October 2021.
