Uriah Shelton (born March 10, 1997) is a singer and actor from the United States. He is best known for his roles on television, including Jeff Cargill on The Glades, Josh on Blue, and Joshua Matthews on Girl Meets World. Shelton also played the lead role in the 2010 film Lifted.
Shelton was born in Dallas, Texas, and grew up in Magnolia Springs, Alabama. At the age of seven, he enrolled in a modelling class, which led to the start of his acting career in television commercials. Shelton is also a mixed martial artist.
Career
Without a Trace, The Ghost Whisperer, Mad TV, Dirty Sexy Money, The Suite Life on Deck, Monk, Trust Me, Trauma, Hallmark's The Nanny Express, and the independent feature Alabama Moon are among the television shows in which Shelton has appeared.
In the film Lifted, Shelton played the lead character Henry Matthews. Shelton wrote and performed the song "I Miss You" in the film. He appeared as Joshua Matthews on the Disney Channel's Girl Meets World, a spin-off of the 1990s sitcom Boy Meets World.
Shelton was also seen in the A&E drama The Glades (2010-2013). He portrayed Jeff Cargill, the son of Kiele Sanchez's nurse. In the well-received horror comedy film Freaky, he played the love interest of Kathryn Newton's lead character.
