Personal and academic life
Thanapob was born on February 14, 1994, as the youngest of three children in a Thai Chinese family. Lee is his Chinese surname. He has two brothers and is the son of Chatchawan and Areeya Leeratanakajorn. He attended Adventist Ekamai School and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Packaging Technology from Kasetsart University's Department of Packaging and Materials Technology, Faculty of Agro-Industry.
He has been married to Thai flight attendant Khaenapha Larpveroj (Meen) for a long time.
Thanapob began his career by appearing in music videos such as "It's Time to Listen" by Da-Endorphine. His television debut was in the episode "Once in Memory." (2012) of Club Friday: The Series. Thanapob joined Nadao Bangkok in 2013 and was cast as Phai in the popular Thai TV show Hormones: The Series, directed by Songyos Sugmakanan. His performance in Hormones was his first major role, and it helped him establish notoriety.
Supassara Thanachat and Chutavuth Pattarakampol from Hormones made his feature debut in the mystery thriller film The Swimmers (2014). For his performance as Tan, he earned the Silver Doll Award for Outstanding Male Rising Star at the 30th Surasawadee Royal Award. Following that, he was cast in several television shows and films, including Club Friday: The Series (Season 5) (2014), Club Friday The Series Season 5: Secret of Classroom 6/3 (2015), Love o-net (2015), and Stupid Cupid The Series (2015). He co-starred in his third film, May Who? (2015), with Sutatta Udomsilp and Thiti Mahayotaruk. Thanapob appeared in many television programs from 2016 to 2017, including I See You, O-Negative, and The Cupid's programs: Kamathep Parbman. In Project S: The Series - Side by Side (2017), he played Gym, an autistic badminton player. He gained widespread praise for his portrayal, which earned him the Best Actor Award at the 9th Nataraj Awards in 2018.
Thanapob made his debut in 2018 as a member of the Thai boy group Nine by Nine, a special by 4nologue and Nadao Bangkok. Thanapob, as an actor, stated that he struggled with dancing at first due to his lack of talents and an uneasy sensation due to his height and limbs. He sensed his growth as they went through months of intense training because of his co-members' input and support from their followers. The group issued a mini-album titled "En-Route," and he also sang in five of the group's recorded songs, notably "Night Light," "Hypnotize," "The Lucky One," "Shouldn't," and "Eternity." From 2018 to 2019, he also toured Thailand three times with Nine by Nine.
He appeared as Yi in the TV series In Family We Trust (2018), alongside his fellow Nine by Nine members. He gained critical acclaim and prizes for the role, including Best Supporting Actor at the 10th Nataraj prizes and Actor of the Year at the 2018 GQ Thailand Men of the Year Awards.
Following the Nine by Nine project, he landed another television lead role in the action drama series Man of Vengeance (2019), which aired on One 31. At the 16th Komchadleuk Awards, he received the Best Actor for Television Series Award for his performance as Sila/Aran. He later appeared in The Last Promise (2020), another One 31 serial.
Thanapob appeared in two films in 2021: One for the Road, which premiered at the 2021 Sundance Film Festival as Thailand's first-ever entry, and Ghost Lab, a Netflix original film starring former Nine by Nine co-member Paris Intarakomalyasut.
In 2021, he was honored by HOWE Thailand magazine and named to its Top 50 Most Influential People List for his acting prowess and contributions to the business as an influencer and brand endorser.
Thanapob remained with Nadao Bangkok as an actor until the firm legally reduced its artist management operations on June 1, 2022. He has a personal management firm, TNPLEE.connect, that has been responsible with managing his career and promoting his works and events since July 1, 2022.
