Teeradetch Metawarayut (Thai: ; born September 15, 1989), sometimes known as Alek (Thai: ), is a Channel 3 actor.
Early years
Alek is the family's second son. He has three siblings: one brother and one sister. He graduated from Assumption College in high school and subsequently from Chulalongkorn University's Faculty of Sports Science with second class honours. His father gave him the nickname Alex, derived from the name Alexander. However, because his family is Thai of Chinese descent, his father expressed concern that "I'm afraid it might not be suitable for the English name." As a result, his father altered his mind and decided to use the name Alek instead.
Career
I began in the profession by filming commercials and music videos. He rose to prominence after starring in the film "Crazy Crying Lady" with Araya A. Hargate, and he has since produced a slew of other works. Alek is a Channel 3 signee. In 2015, he was nominated for a Golden Television Award in the category of Best Supporting Actor for his performance as "Khun Chai Lek" in the drama Sapai Jao (2015).
