Bollywood actor Taapsee Pannu,who has been basking in the success of her back-to-back hits, after working for more than a decade in the Film industry, recently added another career milestone by launching her Production House, OUTSIDERS Films.
For this, she has joined Pranjal Khandhdiya, a content creator and producer for more than 20 years now. He has been involved in the production of Films like SUPER 30, SOORMA, PIKU, MUBARAKAN, AZHAR and is also producing RASHMI ROCKET, which stars Taapsee in the lead role.
Along with with, Taapsee has also announced her first project as co-producer, named BLURR, an offical Hindi adaptation of Spanish- pyschological thriller JULIA'S EYES. According to the sources, "Taapsee Pannu will co-produce the Hindi remake of Spanish psychological thriller, Julia's Eyes. The actress is headlining the project and it will be her first co-production. It stars Gulshan Devaiah as well. The makers will make an official announcement soon."
After Bollywood Hungama's report, it was confirmed that Taapsee will co-produce Blurr. Written by Pawan Sony and Ajay Bahl, the film arrives in theatres in 2022. Director Ajay Bahl shares, "Blurr is a thought-provoking and intriguing story which really excited me as a director. This association with Zee Studios and Taapsee will surely make Blurr a memorable film for me. With the massive scale it promises and the narrative it brings along I believe Blurr will not only be a power-packed entertainer, but it will stay with the audience too. The reason being, it is not only an arresting psychological thriller but it also has an intriguing social context."
Shariq Patel, Chief Business Officer, Zee Studios shares, "We are happy to share the first look of our project with the audience. It’s exciting to see Taapsee and Ajay, two of the most creative people come together to create magic with Blurr. The script is unique and highly engaging, and we are all looking forward to the journey ahead.”
Elated with the launch of her production house, Taapsee shared, "I am thrilled to embark upon this new journey and diversify my love for cinema with my Production house 'Outsiders Films'. Having my business venture, management comes naturally to me. Hence, I always thought of setting my own production house. The audience and the industry have given me a lot of support and love over the 11 years of my career".
She also owns a wedding planning company and a badminton team called 7 ACES PUNE. On the film front, the 33-year-old actor is all set for a season with her next films,namely, 'Loop Lapeta', 'Rashmi Rocket', 'DoBaaraa', 'Shabaash Mithu', and a south film.
