Sharwanand Myneni (born 6 March 1984), also known as Sharwanand, is an Indian actor and producer who primarily works in Telugu films with a few Tamil films thrown in for good measure. In 2004, he made his acting debut in the film Aidho Tareekhu.
He received the SIIMA Award for Best Male Debut - Tamil for Engeyum Eppodhum (2011), and he also received the Nandi Special Jury Award for Malli Malli Idi Rani Roju (2015).
Sharwanand made his film debut in Prasthanam, Engeyum Eppodhum, Run Raja Run, and Malli Malli Idi Rani Roju. He went on to appear in a number of films, including Express Raja, Sathamanam Bhavati, and Mahanubhavudu.
Personal and early life
Sharwanand Myneni was born to Myneni Vasundhara Devi and Myneni Ratnagiri Vara Prasad Rao in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh, and raised in Hyderabad, Telangana. He attended The Hyderabad Public School in Begumpet (where he was classmates with Ram Charan and Rana Daggubati) and graduated from Wesley Degree College in Secunderabad with a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.). Sharwanand was named "The Hindu's Best New Face" during his college years. Sharwanand attended the Kishore Namit Kapoor Acting Institute in Mumbai when he was 17 years old.
Sharwanand comes from a tight-knit business family. Ram Pothineni, another actor, is his cousin.
Sharwanand is set to marry Rakshita Reddy, a techie from the United States, on January 26, 2023. Pasunoor Madhusudhan Reddy and Pasunoor Sudha Reddy are both Andhra Pradesh High Court lawyers.
Career
Early career and auxiliary roles (2003-2005)
Sharwanand first gained media attention in a Thums Up commercial alongside Chiranjeevi. Later, in 2003, he made his Telugu acting debut with Aidho Tareeku and went on to share screen space with Chiranjeevi in Shankar Dada M.B.B.S. and Venkatesh in Sankranthi and Lakshmi in supporting roles.
From 2005 to 2014, he received critical acclaim and made forays into Tamil cinema.
Sharwanand rose to prominence with the films Vennela (2005) and Amma Cheppindi (2006), the latter of which received critical acclaim. He then appeared in films such as Gamyam (2008) and Andari Bandhuvaya (2010), both of which earned him Nandi Awards despite being sleeper hits. Prasthanam was a cult favourite. These films earned him acclaim.
Sharwanand then made his debut in Tamil cinema with films like Naalai Namadhe (2009) and Engeyum Eppodhum (2010). (2011). Sharwanand made his debut as a producer in 2012 with the film Ko Ante Koti, which was produced by Sarvaa Arts.
Commercial success and breakthrough (2014-present)
Sharwanand's commercial breakthrough came with the film Run Raja Run, which was a box office success in 2014. UV Creations' second venture after their first blockbuster film, Mirchi, was this film. Sharwanand received praise for his portrayal of the lead character, Raja. Sharwanand's new look in the film, complete with bright and colourful outfits, adds to his character's portrayal. Malli Malli Idi Rani Roju, directed by Kranthi Madhav and starring Nithya Menen, was Sharwanand's next film and received positive reviews from critics. Express Raja, Sharwanand's subsequent film, was a box office success.
Cheran's directorial debut, JK Enum Nanbanin Vaazhkai, which starred Nithya Menen and was released in Telugu in 2016, performed poorly at the box office.
Sathamanam Bhavati, directed by Satish Vegesna and produced by Dil Raju, grossed nearly 50 crores.
Sharwanand's 25th film, Radha, was produced by the well-known producer B. V. S. N. Prasad's production company, SVCC Cinema, received mixed reviews. Sharwanand then starred in Mahanubhavudu, directed by Maruthi and released on September 29, 2017, to critical and commercial success.
Sharwanand's most recent film, Jaanu, was released on February 7, 2020. C. directed the film. Prem Kumar's film 96 is a remake of his own Tamil film.
After that, he starred in Mahasamudram with Siddharth directed by RX100 fame Ajay Bhupathi and bankrolled by AK Entertainments, which was a huge flop, and then he starred in science fiction Time TravelTelugu and Tamil bilingual oke oka jeevitham with Amala Akkineni, Ritu Varma directed by Shree Karthick and bankrolled by Dream Warrior Pictures, which was a huge
