Park Shin Hye and Choi Tae Joon welcome baby boy

K-DRAMA superstar Park Shin Hye has given birth to her child with actor Choi Tae Joon, her talent agency revealed on Tuesday.

In a statement, SALT Entertainment said, "We are sharing news that actress Park Shin Hye gave birth to a healthy baby boy at a hospital in Seoul."

It furthered that the 32-year-old actress and her child are in good health, and currently resting.

"We express deep gratitude to everyone who has sent congratulatory messages, and we ask that warm blessings and support be sent to actor Park Shin Hye and Choi Tae Joon who have welcomed a valuable life," the statement added.

Park and Choi began dating in 2017 and went public in March 2018. The couple got married on January 22 this year, the same time they also revealed that the actress was pregnant.

Park Park gained recognition as a child star on TV shows such as "Stairway to Heaven" (2003) and "Tree of Heaven (2006). Later on, she would achieve further success when she starred in the film "Miracle in Cell No. 7" (2013), one of the highest-grossing Korean films of all-time.

Considered one of the most prolific actresses of her age, Park also received recognition for her roles in in the romances "You're Beautiful" (2009), "The Heirs" 2013), "Pinocchio" (2014–2015), "Doctors" (2016), "Memories of the Alhambra" (2018 to 2019), and action thrillers "#Alive" (2020) and "Sisyphus: The Myth" (2021).

Meanwhile, Choi first gained recognition for his villainous supporting role in the disaster-mystery drama "Missing 9" (2017). He has since taken on lead roles in melodrama "Exit" (2018) and romcom "So I Married the Anti-fan" (2021).
