He is a member of the Chirathivat family and a Chulalongkorn University graduate.
Biography
Childhood and education
Pachara Chirathivat was born in Bangkok, Thailand, on May 10, 1993, to Thirayuth and Chanadda Chirathivat of the Chirathivat family (who formed the family-owned Central Group). He has two siblings, Chemmanat and Pimpisa Chirathivat. He graduated from Chulalongkorn University Demonstration School and The Chulalongkorn Business School, Faculty of Commerce and Accountancy, Chulalongkorn University in 2015. He also went to England to study.
Chirathivat made his acting debut in SuckSeed, a music-themed comedy film released in 2011. The film, directed for the first time by Chayanop Boonprakob, was a box financial and critical triumph. It also won the 4th Okinawa International Film Festival's Laugh Category Uminchu Prize Grand Prix. Following the success of the film, he was cast in Songyos Sugmakanan's biographical film The Billionaire the same year, playing the character of young entrepreneur Itthipat Kulapongvanich. He struggled at first to act many scenes on his own because he was used to having other key actors alongside him in SuckSeed. He was spotted lugging huge sacks of nuts on his shoulders, which he thought was a pretty harsh scene. During a shoot, his buttocks were also accidentally damaged. He eventually overcame his stress with the support of the director, and he was delighted to be a part of the film.
The next year, he joined the cast of the suspense film Countdown as Jack. Although he shared some of Jack's characteristics, such as studying abroad and being a rebel, he changed completely (in the way he talked, dressed, walked, and lived) to fit in. To avoid injury during their action scenes, he also had to practise martial arts. Chirathivat was truly suffocating in one scene where Jack was strangled; he tried to warn the crew to stop strangling him since he couldn't breathe, but they assumed he was simply playing. At the 86th Academy Awards, the film was nominated for Best Foreign Language Film as Thailand's entry.
Chirathivat was cast as one of the key leads in GTH's Hormones after working with Sugmakanan in the 2011 film The Billionaire. Hormones aspires to examine and portray numerous elements and difficulties of adolescent life, breaking the norm of Thai television, which mainly comprises Thai soap operas and sitcoms. These include topics that are normally taboo for open discussion in Thai society, such as adolescent sex and school violence. Chirathivat's character and personality in the series, like the other key cast characters, were based on a combination of his own experiences and the crew's research on modern adolescent concerns. He portrayed Win, the most popular boy at school who plunged into the world of drugs, discothèques, and nightlife. He considered himself extremely fortunate to be a part of the series, saying, "I have learned the lives of the characters through their many experiences, incidents that I have never seen in my life." Hormones was originally scheduled to have only one season, but its popularity and reception prompted it to have three. The original cast members, including Chirathivat, repeated their roles for the second season and returned as guest actors for the last season.
He transferred from GMM Tai Hub to Channel 3 in 2015, citing that he wanted to gain more experience and grow as an actor. He then served as a mentor on the inaugural season of The Face Men Thailand.
A career in music
Chirathivat, in addition to acting, is a musician, specialising in electronic and rock music. After leaving SuckSeed, he formed his own rock band, Rooftop, on the independent music label Smallroom. He once collaborated on a brand with K-pop sensation Nichkhun. In 2015, he created a new rock band, White Rose, alongside musician and producer Pakorn "Beam" Musikaboonlert. The name of the band was inspired by a nonviolent resistance group of students from a Munich university under Nazi Germany in 1941. Their single "Dear You" was produced by Tahiti 80, a French indie band.
Chirathivat writes the majority of his songs' lyrics. "I feel most comfortable singing my own lyrics," he said. Nobody can do it better than you if you sing your own tune." He sings and plays the keyboards and guitar in addition to singing.
Philanthropy
In 2014, he helped a 12-year-old boy named Mon who had been diagnosed with terminal brain cancer. Chirathivat was approached by the Make-A-dream Foundation to fulfil Mon's dying dream of seeing him in person. Mon has had a crush on Chirathivat ever since he saw SuckSeed. In exchange, Chirathivat continued to support Mon. "I never thought I'd be such an influence on people," he said. We should share our delight with others when we have a good life, a good work, and excellent health. Every day, I tell myself that I have to do my best since you never know what can happen." Every year on his birthday, he also occasionally donates medical equipment to patients at Chulalongkorn Hospital.
Private life
Chirathivat was ordained as a Buddhist monk for three weeks when he was 20 years old.
Chirathivat applied to defer his military enlistment for scholastic grounds in early 2015. He submitted a waiver again the following year because he was too busy as an actor. He is aware, however, that conscription in Thailand is unavoidable, and he is happy to serve his nation.
Chirathivat graduated from university and quit his family's shop company. Despite this, he began to run the culinary franchise firm Potato Corner.
Pachara was in a three-year romance with singer Note Panayanggool, but the relationship ended.
And she is currently in a relationship with Patricia Good, an actress on Channel 3. The relationship was later ended due to a different mentality.
He later had an affair with model Minnie Lin.
