Nida Pasha, also known as Nida Yasir, is a Pakistani television host, model, and former actress best known for her role as Saima in the television drama Hum Tum. She also hosts the ARY Digital morning show Good Morning Pakistan.
Family
She is the daughter of Kazim Pasha and Fehmida Nasreen, both television directors and producers.
Yasir began her career as a model and producer. Later, she joined ARY Digital after Shaista Wahidi accepted a morning show offer from Geo TV and left ARY Digital. She is now the host of the ARY Digital morning show Good Morning Pakistan. She also appears in drama serials on various television networks.
Yasir produced her first feature film, Wrong No., in 2015, which was directed and produced by her husband, Yasir Nawaz.
Controversies
Yasir invited fellow actor Shabbir Jan to her show in 2015, and during a game show, he stormed out, prompting the other guest, Saud, to go after him. Yasir later claimed that this was a publicity stunt to boost show ratings.
Yasir asked insensitive questions about the rape and subsequent murder to the parents of a rape victim in a 2020 interview. This drew widespread condemnation, with the hashtag #BanNidaYasir trending on Pakistani Twitter.
Nida Yasir sparked even more controversy in 2021 when a clip from her morning show from 2016 went viral on the internet. During the interview, she demonstrated a lack of background research by repeatedly asking questions that questioned the accomplishments of her guests, who were graduate students studying Formula One in the United States.

Yasir’s first impression of me was horrible. He was a senior actor and had worked with Mehreen Jabbar, Humayun Saeed, and Sania Saeed. He was very arrogant. He used to think too highly of himself. I think he was too proud of his fair complexion. When I first got a role with him, I was happy because I was cast alongside him because he was an older actor. I was all ready and he ditched us on the shoot that day. The shoot was canceled because of him. I told him he was very arrogant, but then the impression I had of him changed. His sense of humor was so great that I had so much fun working with him.”
