Nichkhun Wiki, Age, Biography, Height, Girlfriend, Family, Images, And More
Nichkhun Buck Horvejkul (Thai: ; RTGS: Nitchakhun Horawetchakun; born June 24, 1988), commonly known as Nichkhun (Korean: ), is a Thai American singer, songwriter, rapper, actor, and model who presently resides in South Korea as a member of the South Korean boy band 2PM.
Nichkhun was born to Thai Chinese parents in Rancho Cucamonga, California, and was reared in Thailand. His mother's family hails from Hainan, and he claims to have extended family and distant ancestors from Guangzhou.
Nickhun's mother, Yenjit Horvejkul (née Mekworewut), is the CEO of Union Medical, a Thai pharmaceutical company founded in 1976 that operates as an importer and distributor. He comes from an affluent family, earning him the moniker "Thai Prince" in South Korea. Nichan Bert (born September 11, 1986) is Nichkhun's older brother, while his two younger sisters are Nichthima Yanin (born July 22, 1990) and Nachjaree (Chereen) (born October 20, 1994). He arrived to Thailand from the United States with his family when he was five years old and attended Dhepkanjana School and Tangpiroondham School. He attended Wanganui Collegiate School in New Zealand for a year and a half before returning to the United States to conclude his education at Los Osos High School in Rancho Cucamonga, California. At the Los Angeles Korean Music Festival, he was spotted by a JYP Entertainment scout manager.
He signed a ten-year deal with JYP Entertainment after clearing an audition hosted by the firm, but later re-signed an eight-year contract, without including training, and was brought to South Korea in 2006 as a trainee, being placed in a class of 24 other pupils. Park Jin-young instructed him that he needed to learn to sing and dance, as well as learn Korean and Mandarin Chinese and bulk up. He currently speaks Thai, English, Korean, Japanese, and very basic Chinese. He originally debuted on Mnet's Hot Blood, a program that documented the hard physical training that 13 male trainees underwent in order to debut in either a four-member ballad group (2AM) or a seven-member dance group (2PM) under JYP Entertainment.
As a Thai male citizen, he was subject to the military draft lottery in 2009 and received an exemption from military service.
Nichkhun was arrested for drunk driving in July 2012 after colliding with a motorcycle.
