Nat Wolff Wiki, Age, Biography, Height, Girlfriend, Family, Images, And More

Nathaniel Marvin Wolff (born December 17, 1994) is a musician and actor from the United States. He rose to prominence for writing the music for The Naked Brothers Band (2007–2009), a Nickelodeon television series he co-starred in with his younger brother, Alex, and created by their actress mother, Polly Draper. Michael Wolff, Wolff's jazz pianist father, coproduced the series' soundtrack albums, The Naked Brothers Band (2007) and I Don't Want to Go to School (2008), which both charted at number 23 on the Top 200 Billboard Charts.

Wolff and his brother formed the music duo Nat & Alex Wolff after the Nickelodeon series ended, and they released the album Black Sheep in 2011. He rose to prominence after starring in the 2015 film Paper Towns, as well as other films such as Admission, Behaving Badly, and Palo Alto, all of which debuted in 2013. Wolff also co-starred in the critically acclaimed theatrical film The Fault in Our Stars (2014) before playing Ed in the 2015 film Ashby. In the Netflix adaptation of Death Note, he played Light Turner (2017).

He and his younger brother appeared in Stella's Last Weekend, a 2018 film written and directed by their mother, who also appeared in the film.

Early years

Wolff was born to jazz pianist Michael Wolff and actress Polly Draper in Los Angeles, California. He is the older brother of singer-songwriter and actor Alex Wolff. He is the nephew of venture capitalist Timothy C. Draper, the cousin of actress Jesse Draper, and the great-grandson of banker and diplomat William Henry Draper, Jr. Wolff was raised "culturally Jewish" because his father is Jewish and his mother is Christian.

Career

Nat and his younger brother, Alex, arose from the bathtub as toddlers, shouting, "We're the naked brothers band!" Nat taught himself to play major and minor chords on the piano when he was four years old, according to their father. According to his father: "'How did you learn them?' I inquired. 'Dad, they're right here,' he said. 'What are those chords?' I asked. 'These are my proud chords,' he said." Wolff had begun writing his own songs by the age of five, and by the time he was in preschool, he had formed The Silver Boulders with his best friends.

Nat first gained notice in the wake of the September 11 attacks when he held his birthday party outside his apartment, which is where he performed his composition titled "Firefighters". The benefit concert was a success, raising over $46,000 for the children of the New York City Fire Department's Squad 18. Alex eventually joined the band as the drummer; The Beatles inspired both boys. Wolff used to put signs on his bedroom door that said, "I want to be a child actor!" His mother initially refused because she did not want her children to be exposed to celebrity when they were young. As a result, Draper decided to placate Nat by allowing him to star in his own sitcom, Don't Eat Off My Plate.
"It wasn't as bad as some might think to have our lives turned into a mockumentary. We incorporated all of our friendships, Alex's one-liners, and my music into a storyline; it was a heightened reality... The show attracted a large audience for us..."

Off-Broadway, he made his debut in his mother's play Getting Into Heaven (2003) and in the Off-Broadway production of Heartbeat to Baghdad (2004), both at The Flea Theater. At the age of nine, he was recognised for starring in and contributing lead vocals, instrumentation, and lyrics to his mother's 2005 musical comedy film The Naked Brothers Band: The Movie, which won the Audience Award for a Family Feature Film at the Hamptons International Film Festival. The film was purchased by Nickelodeon as the pilot for the television series of the same name (2007-09), which his mother created, wrote, produced, and directed, while his father co-starred, produced, and supervised the music. Nat's younger brother was also in the ensemble cast and wrote and performed the music.

He received one BMI Cable Award for composing the series' music, two Young Artist Award nominations, and one KCA nomination for Best TV Actor for the series. The show spawned two soundtrack albums, and the single "Crazy Car" peaked at #83 on the Billboard Hot 100. Wolff, who was six at the time he wrote the song, is thought to be the youngest person ever to write a Billboard charting song. His unreleased song "Yes We Can," dedicated to President Barack Obama, was heard by the President and his two daughters, who liked it and called him. Nat had the opportunity to meet Obama prior to the encounter, which encouraged him to write the composition.

Other film appearances by Wolff include the Nickelodeon television film special Mr. Troop Mom (2009), the romantic comedy New Year's Eve (2011), and the independent comedic drama Peace, Love & Misunderstanding (2011). He appeared in his brother's play What Would Woody Do? at the Flea Theater in 2010. Wolff appeared in the comedies Admission (2013), Palo Alto (2013), and Behaving Badly (2013). (2014). That same year, he won two Teen Choice Awards for his supporting role in the drama film The Fault in Our Stars, in the categories of Choice Movie: Scene Stealer and Choice Movie: Chemistry.

Wolff starred in Paper Towns in 2015, his second film adaptation of a John Green novel after The Fault in Our Stars. He played Quentin "Q" Jacobsen, a teen who falls in love with his neighbour (played Cara Delevingne). "Wolff, who's present in almost every scene, manages to hold the centre as a young man who isn't overly concerned with either standing out or fitting in, and whose behaviour can often be as hesitant as it is impulsive," Variety critic Justin Chang wrote. He will co-star with Ed Harris and Taissa Farmiga in the off-Broadway revival of Sam Shepard's play Buried Child. The show will be on stage from February 2 to March 13, 2016.

Wolff appeared in Death Note, a Netflix film based on the manga of the same name, as well as the romantic comedy Home Again in 2017. He appeared in the independent thriller Rosy, directed by Jess Bond, and the drama Stella's Last Weekend, directed by his mother, Polly Draper, and costarring his brother, Alex, in 2018. In 2019, he starred in Dolly Wells' Good Posture, and in 2020, he starred in André vredal's Mortal.
