Mugdha Veira Godse is an Indian model and actress who has appeared in Hindi films. Godse, a former model, was a semi-finalist in the Femina Miss India 2004 pageant. In Madhur Bhandarkar's 2008 film Fashion, she made her acting debut. She was a judge on the Marathi reality show Marathi Paul Padte Pudhe. She has also appeared in the Tamil film Thani Oruvan.
Godse grew up in a tiny middle-class family in Pune and began her modelling career in 1986. She attended Nutan Marathi Vidyalaya in Pune for her education. Godse earned her bachelor's degree in commerce from the Marathwada Mitra Mandal College of Commerce in Pune. Godse sold oil in her early days and earned only Rs.100 per day. She subsequently began working out at the gym and competing in local beauty pageants. She competed in and won the Gladrags Mega Model Hunt in 2002. Godse competed in the Femina Miss India contest, India's largest modelling competition, in 2004. She advanced to the semi-finals and was crowned Miss Perfect Ten. She subsequently relocated to Mumbai and began modelling.
Among the various commercials Godse has done include the Airtel commercial in which she appeared alongside Shah Rukh Khan and the Close-Up toothpaste commercial. She has been modelling for almost five years, appearing in press ads, music videos, commercials, and walking the runway at national and international fashion shows. She had an appearance in the Hindi film Fashion. Madhur Bhandarkar directed the film, which stars Priyanka Chopra, Kangana Ranaut, and Arbaaz Khan. She received a lot of appreciation for her performance - she made a huge impression in her debut.
She has also appeared in a Hollandia Yoghurt commercial. Sandeep Marwah of the Asian Academy of Film & Television recently presented her with the Global Cinema Award of the 8th Global Film Festival Noida.
Godse made her Bollywood debut in the 2008 film Fashion, opposite Priyanka Chopra and Kangana Ranaut. She received a Filmfare Award nomination for Best Female Debut and an Apsara Award for Best Female Debutante.
Godse starred in two films in 2009: All The Best and Jail. Help, in which she co-starred with Bobby Deol, was released on August 13, 2010. Will You Marry Me? was published in March 2012, while Gali Gali Chor Hai was released in February 2012. Godse and her lover Rahul Dev featured on the reality show Power Couple.
In her personal life, Godse is dating actor Rahul Dev. She eats only eggs.
