Mohit Marwah is a Bollywood film actor from India. He is best known for his first feature film, Fugly (2014), and his second feature film, Raag Desh (2015). (2017). He has also appeared in short films such as Strangers in the Night, directed by Shakun Batra and produced by Dharma Productions, and Love Shots, produced by Yash Raj Films.

Background and early life

Mohit Marwah is the elder son of Noida Film City founder Sandeep Marwah and his wife Reena Marwah. Akshay Marwah is Marwah's younger brother. His mother, Reena Marwah, is Surinder Kapoor's daughter and the sister of actors Boney Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, and Sanjay Kapoor. Sonam Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor, Harshvardhan Kapoor, Rhea Kapoor, and Jahnvi Kapoor are his first cousins.

Marwah married Antara Motiwala, the niece of former actress Tina Munim, in February 2018 in Al Jazirah Al Hamra (wife of industrialist Anil Ambani).

Mohit Marwah received his formal education at Don Bosco School and the University of Delhi. Following his interest in filmmaking, he enrolled at the Asian Academy of Film & Television. Mohit Marwah was then hired as Vikram Bhatt's assistant director. Mohit Marwah decided to specialize in acting after gaining field experience in film production and traveling to New York City to attend the Lee Strasberg Acting School.


Mohit Marwah began his career as an assistant director to Vikram Bhatt, participating in the production of three films: Elaan (2005), Jurm (2005), and Deewane Huye Pagal (2006). (2005).

He appeared in the short film The Audition, which was produced by his brother Akshay Marwah, directed by Karan Boolani, and had music supervision by Amit Trivedi. He also appeared in the short film Strangers in the Night, which was produced by Karan Johar and directed by Shakun Batra.

Following that, he was signed by Akshay Kumar for the feature film Fugly, in which he starred alongside Kiara Advani.

He appeared in a video for Anmoll Mallik, singer and music director Anu Malik's daughter, for her debut single "Lamhein" - a cover of Coldplay's 2011 hit "Paradise."

Mohit appeared in Y-Films' Love Shots, a collection of six short films starring him, Farida Jalal, Kulbhushan Kharbanda, Nimrat Kaur, Shweta Tripathi, Tillotama Shome, Saqib Saleem, Tahir Raj Bhasin, Rhea Chakraborty, Saba Azad, Salim Merchant, and Swanand Kirkire. He has also appeared in the short film The Big Date and Raag Desh.

Off-screen appearances and employment

He is the director of the Marwah Studios group, a creative enterprise specializing in media and entertainment. Mohit was named one of the Best Dressed Men in Bollywood by GQ India in 2014. He also appeared in GQ India's spring spread, which featured a standout collection from the Italian fashion house Gucci. Marwah walked the runway in New Delhi for famous fashion designer Tarun Tahiliani to show his support for a social cause. The show was organized to raise community awareness about how to help autistic children. He was also named a brand ambassador for the well-known lifestyle brand Provogue.
