Mario Maurer Wiki, Age, Biography, Height, Girlfriend, Family, Images, And More
Mario Maurer (Thai:, Thai: [mrô mw.r]; German: [maio ma]) is a Thai actor and model. He appeared in The Love of Siam in 2007 and Crazy Little Thing Called Love in 2010. He also co-starred in Thailand's highest-grossing film of all time, Pee Mak, with Davika Hoorne. He was a member of the 4+1 Channel 3 Superstar group, which included actors Nadech Kugimiya, Prin Suparat, Pakorn Chatborirak, and Phupoom Pongpanu.
Childhood and education
Maurer was born in Bangkok, Thailand, to a German father and a Thai Chinese mother. He has an older brother, Marco, who is a Thai rapper presently. Maurer graduated from Saint Dominic School and received his bachelor's degree from Ramkhamhaeng University's Faculty of Law. Krirk University awarded him a master's degree in Political Communication in 2017.
Modeling and acting careers
Maurer was approached to Siam Square at the age of 16 to try out for modeling. He began working photo shoots, commercials, and music videos after that. In 2007, he made his feature film debut as a leading man in Chukiat Sakweerakul's The Love of Siam. The part of "Tong" earned him several plaudits and immediate celebrity far beyond Thailand's borders. "I didn't want to do it," he says of his newfound celebrity. "Acting wasn't on my to-do list." He agreed to shoot the film because he trusted director Chukiat and believed it would provide him with numerous opportunities. He'd be earning money to support his family. He rose to prominence in this film due of his gay character.
He won Best Actor at the Starpics Thai Films Awards and was nominated for Best Actor at the Bangkok Critics Assembly and Star Entertainment Awards.
Director Bhandit Rittakol approached Maurer about Boonchu 9, but he was already committed to other projects. Friendship, a 2008 film directed by Chatchai Naksuriya, cast him. The story takes place in 1983. Maurer played a 12th grade student opposite Apinya Sakuljaroensuk. That same year, he appeared in a segment of Rashane Limtrakul's four-story anthology 4 Romance (segment "Joob" or Kiss). After 2008, Maurer worked on Rahtree Reborn, a comedy-horror film written and directed by Yuthlert Sippapak and set for release in April 2009, in which he co-starred with Chermarn Boonyasak.
Maurer rose to prominence after appearing in the 2010 films First Love and Pee Mak, Thailand's highest-grossing film of all time.
Other projects Maurer formed the hip hop combo "PsyCho & Lil'Mario" with his older brother Marco. On October 31, 2007, they released their debut album, PsyCho & Lil'Mario: Dem Crazy Boyz. In this album, Maurer worked as a hypeman. He later described it as "just for fun." I know who I am: I'm not a singer. That is not my fantasy."
For the first time, Maurer took part in endorsements for Exit Rollon and other well-known products such as The Pizza Company, Sugus, and Foremost. He was also a Honda Jazz presenter and appeared in a Unilever commercial for Cloud 9. He also promoted Pepsi, Dutchmill, and Sony Ericsson. Following the unexpected success of his film Crazy Little Thing Called Love, which aired on the ABS-CBN network in July 2011, he signed an endorsement contract with the Philippine clothing brand Penshoppe. He also agreed to a film deal with Star Cinema, a Philippine film production business. In the 2012 film Suddenly It's Magic, he co-starred alongside Filipina film and television actress Erich Gonzales. As part of his official launch as a Penshoppe endorsement, Maurer held a press and fan meeting at the Philippine International Convention Center on October 28, 2011, with thousands of fans in attendance. On October 29, he walked the runway at the SMX Convention Center for Philippine Fashion Week. On 3 August 2013, Maurer went to the Philippines to promote his film Pee Mak, and the following day, he held a fan conference with Baifern Pimchanok in two locations, SM North EDSA and SM Mall of Asia, as part of Pimchanok's formal launch as a Penshoppe endorsement. Thousands of fans turned up to show their continued support for both performers and their 2010 hit film First Love.
Personal hobbies of Maurer include skateboarding, hip hop, and driving cars. He is a naturist as well. Despite his German ancestry, he does not speak German. He understands basic words and phrases in Mandarin because he studied it in high school. On June 27, 2011, his father, Roland Maurer, died of a diabetes-related heart attack. He is quite close to his brother Marco, a hip-hop artist and actor.
