Krissanapoom Pibulsonggram (Thai:, born 15 August 1996), also known as JJ (Thai: ) and under the online handle Jaylerr, is a Thai actor, singer, and model. He rose to prominence after appearing in the 2013 film Grean Fictions and many television roles with Nadao Bangkok. He used to be a part of the Thai idol group Nine by Nine, and he has since published various works with Nadao Music. He is a QOW Entertainment co-founder.
Personal and academic life
Krissanapoom was born in Chiang Mai, Thailand on August 15, 1996. He is the great-grandson of Plaek Phibunsongkhram, the former Prime Minister. Pibulporn Pibulsonggram and Jamika Pibulsonggram are his parents, and he has a younger brother named Mahidol Pibulsonggram. He attended Prince Royal's College before travelling to Bangkok to study and graduate from Srinakharinwirot University's College of Social Communication Innovation. He is currently engaged to Thai actress Kanyawee Songmuang.
Krissanapoom has been outspoken on social media against the Thai government's approach to the 2020-2021 Thai protests and its handling of the COVID-19 epidemic. The Standard, a Thai news agency, named him one of the "Powerful Voices in Crisis" for his influence on a new generation of pop culture followers to actively use social media to raise social and political issues.
Career 2013–2017: Initial acting roles
He rose to prominence among online social media users after participating in a modelling event for CentralPlaza Chiang Mai Airport, following which he was asked by Chookiat Sakveerakul to cast for his first acting role in Grean Fictions. He then appeared in a number of television shows, including Carabao The Series, Love Blood, Grean House The Series, Fly to Fin, and Dead Time Stories.
He rose to prominence after signing with Nadao Bangkok in 2015, with projects such as Diary of Tootsies (2016), which was followed by the web mini-series I Hate You, I Love You (2016), Diary of Tootsies Season 2 (2017), and Project S: The Series (2017). He also appeared in the 2016 film Suddenly Twenty.
Nine by Nine and Human Error in 2018-2019
Krissanapoom was a part of Nadao Bangkok and 4Nologue's special project Nine by Nine from 2018 to 2019. The project's goal is to form a male group out of nine individual members. In 2019, Nine by Nine published a mini-album with five songs: "Night Light", "Hypnotise", "The Lucky One", "Shouldn't", and "Eternity". The members have also appeared as main characters in the television shows In Family We Trust (2018) and Great Men Academy (2019).
Krissanapoom was tapped for another project named "Human Error" in collaboration with GMM Grammy, LINE TV, and Nadao Music, together with his co-members from Nine by Nine, Paris Intarakomalyasut (Ice) and Chonlathorn Kongyingyong (Captain). As part of the project, he performed "Empty King" and acted in the short film Blue.
Nadao Music
In 2020, Nadao Music brought him together with Paris Intarakomalyasut to form the combo Jaylerr x Paris (later renamed Jaylerr x Ice Paris). As of July 2021, the duo has released three original songs under the label, notably "Unexpected", "Nude", and "Feels Like a Year". They also performed in Jaylerr x Ice Paris Studio Session, an online web musical series in which they covered songs by other Thai music artists.
As a solo artist, he will release his first EP, PASSION + PATIENCE, on October 1, 2020, through an exclusive partnership with Apple Music. He stated that the album's title, which includes the terms "passion" and "patience," has driven him throughout his career. He goes on to claim that by doing things with enthusiasm and patience, he will be able to achieve every goal he has set for himself. Krissanapoom wrote and composed all five songs on the album, including "Nimman", "Very Very Sorry", "Balcony", "Your Number", and "Celebrate!"
Krissanapoom stated in September 2021 that he was terminating his contract with Nadao Music in order to pursue new musical and artistic approaches. As a result, his collaboration with Paris was also cancelled. He worked as an artist for Nadao Bangkok till December 2021.
QOW Entertainment (from 2022 until the present)
Krissanapoom has stated that he and his girlfriend Kanyawee have launched their own entertainment and talent agency, QOW Entertainment, following his resignation from Nadao Bangkok. The agency will handle the duo's domestic and international assignments. They have teamed up with 4Nologue CEO Anuwat Wichiennarat to co-manage and expand the agency in the intention of hiring additional artists in the next years.
In 2022, he will play the lead in Forbidden, HBO Asia's first Thai-language original series. The series will have its world premiere at the 26th Busan International Film Festival.
Krissanapoom released his joint track "My Duty" with Thai girl group 4EVE on October 1. This is his debut song released through QOW Entertainment.
