Karan Tacker (born 11 May 1986) is an Indian actor, model, and host best known for his roles as Viren Singh Vadhera in Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai on Star Plus and Farooq Ali in Hotstar's Special OPS. He appeared on Colors TV's Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 7 in 2014.
Early years
His ancestors are from Punjab. Before entering the television industry, he earned a degree in Business Management.
In 2008, he made his film debut in the short film Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi. He then made his television debut in the show Love Ne Mila Di Jodi as Sameer, which aired on STAR One. Karan then played Shaantanu Khandelwal in the television series Rang Badalti Odhani (2010). He then played Viren Singh Vadhera in the popular Star Plus show Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai (2011). The last episode of the show aired on September 13, 2013.
Karan appeared on the popular dance reality show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa in the seventh season with his dance partner Bhavna and was named first runner up in 2014. Karan has also hosted the &TV shows Halla Bol (2014) and The Voice India (2015). Karan has also hosted a number of award shows and special events. Karan has also appeared in advertisements. Tacker hosted the ninth season of the dance couple reality show Nach Baliye in 2017.
