Jesdaporn Pholdee (Thai: ; RTGS: Chetsadaphon Phondi; born June 5, 1977), often known as Tik (Thai: ), is a Thai actor, model, and presenter.
Biography
Childhood and education
Jesdaporn Pholdee is the eldest of three brothers, the other two being younger. Pichetchai Pholdee, his brother, is also an actor. He graduated with a bachelor's degree from the Industrial Department of the Faculty of Engineering at the University of the Thai Chamber of Commerce after finishing high school in Yothinburana. On December 16, 2014, he was awarded an Honorary Doctor of Science degree in environmental science and natural resources by the Faculty of Science and Technology at Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon.
Career
Jesdaporn Pholdee began his career in the entertainment industry while attending university as a presenter for television commercials and in still photographs for advertisements before a director saw him in a studio and approached him to play the role of the leading male character in the film Dang Bireley's and Young Gangsters, which was historically successful in terms of revenue and criticism. It was recognised as the film that launched the popularity and comeback of Thai films that had previously languished.
This was also his birth certificate. Following that, he continued to produce work such as fashion shooting, modelling, films, television dramas/lakorns, and being a presenter for various brands of products.
Navigator
Tik has been the host and producer of the Navigator with, an ecotourism programme on Channel 3 since 2005, as well as a guest lecturer on ecotourism in numerous academic institutions and organisations throughout this time. Several institutions have recognised him and his programme. Later that year, Jesdaporn Pholdee received an Honorary Doctorate in Environmental Science and Natural Resources from Rajamangala University of Technology.
