During this struggling phase, the actor had moved to Dubai to earn money so that he can take care of his three sisters.
Reportedly, he worked as an accountant there as the job paid twice more than what he earned in India. However, not just money, the actor also won the love of his life in Dubai. Vijay met his wife, Jessy Sethupathi during his struggling days in the Gulf country. The two tied the knot in 2003 and are blessed with two kids.
After he returned to India, his journey as an actor began. Vijay started off as a supporting actor before playing the lead in Thenmerku Paruvakaatru (2010). At the age of 16, he auditioned for a role in Nammavar but did not bag the role. Today, he has done around 50 films, has had a number of blockbusters in his kitty.
The actor will be seen working on director Ponram’s upcoming film with Vijay Sethupathi tentatively titled as ‘VJS 46’. The film is produced by Sun Pictures.
