Daniel Doheny (born 1990 or 1991) is a Canadian actor best known for his roles in the Canadian comedy Adventures in Public School and the Netflix comedies Alex Strangelove and The Package.

Childhood and education

Doheny grew up in Vancouver, British Columbia, and graduated from Lord Byng Secondary School in 2008. He then went on to Langara College's Studio 58, a professional theatre training program, where he graduated in 2012.

During the summer season of Bard on the Beach in 2013, Doheny played six roles in Hamlet and Twelfth Night. In 2016, he returned to the Bard stage in The Merry Wives of Windsor.

Doheny is also a member of HumanTown, a sketch comedy troupe that won the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation's ComedyCoup competition in 2014. As part of the award, the troupe wrote, produced, and performed in a self-titled comedy special that aired on CBC Television in 2016.

Doheny received the Vancouver Film Critics Circle Award for Best Actor in a Canadian Film for his performance in the film Drinkwater at the Vancouver Film Critics Circle Awards 2021.
