Choi Tae-joon (born July 7, 1991) is a South Korean actor, model, and television host. He rose to prominence for his villainous supporting role in the disaster-mystery drama Missing 9. (2017). He has since starred in the melodrama Exit (2018) and the romantic comedy So I Married the Anti-fan (2021).
Choi made his acting debut as a child actor in the television series Piano, playing the younger version of Jo In-character. sung's (2001).
Choi rose to prominence for his roles in fantasy drama Padam Padam (2011) as the protagonist's estranged son, as a 20-year-old high school bully in webtoon adaptation Adolescence Medley (2013), as a villain in disaster drama Missing 9 (2017), and as a lawyer in romance comedy drama Suspicious Partner (2017). Choi also played the lead in the 2016 youth film Eclipse.
Choi appeared on the virtual reality show We Got Married in 2016, alongside Apink's Yoon Bo-mi. Choi joined the Korean variety show Hello Counselor as a permanent host in September after appearing as a guest for two weeks in a row in August 2016.
Choi made his network television debut in the two-episode drama special Exit in 2018. He was then cast as the male lead in the romantic comedy series So I Married the Anti-fan, which was based on the webtoon of the same name.
Private life
Marriage
Huayi Brothers confirmed on March 7, 2018, that Choi has been in a relationship with actress Park Shin-hye since late 2017.
On November 23, 2021, it was revealed that Park was pregnant and that they were planning to marry. They married in a church ceremony in Seoul on January 22, 2022, in front of friends and family. Park gave birth to a son on May 31, 2022.
Service in the military
Choi began his military service on August 1, 2019, alongside Bang Yong-guk, and served as a public service worker due to health issues. On May 18, 2021, he was discharged from the military.
