Bae Jin-young (born May 10, 2000) is a singer and actor from South Korea. He is a member of the South Korean boy group CIX and a former member of the boy group Wanna One, having finished tenth in the Produce 101 season 2 final rankings. Following the disbandment of Wanna One, Bae Jinyoung made his CIX debut in July 2019.
Bae Jin-young was born in Seoul, South Korea, on May 10, 2000. He went to Lila Art High School.
Career
Bae Jin-young was a C9 Entertainment trainee for ten months prior to his debut.
2017-2018: Wanna One and Produce 101

Bae Jinyoung appeared in the second season of the South Korean boy band survival show Produce 101, which aired on Mnet from April 7 to June 16, 2017. Before the show aired, Bae Jinyoung quickly rose to fame after a PR video of him performing his "Baebastic" introduction went viral. The video first revealed Bae's infamous Aegyo-set "ttak-ttak," and the PR-video was the first to reach 10 million views on Naver TV, and it is now the most viewed PR-video of all time in the four seasons of Produce 101. Bae Jinyoung finished 10th in the final episode with 807,749 in-real time votes, earning a spot in the winning group, the project boy group Wanna One managed by YMC Entertainment. Bae made her Wanna One debut on August 7, 2017, at the Gocheok Sky Dome, with the EP mini-album 11=1. (To Be One). The venue is the largest ever used for an idol group's debut event, with over 20,000 people expected to attend.
Bae was critically acclaimed for his authority on stage and remarkable growth since competing in Produce 101 while promoting in Wanna One (season 2). With Wanna One, Bae received 100 notable awards, reflecting the group's musical achievements and popularity, and endorsed 25 different brands in various commercial films.
In connection with the disbandment of Wanna One, the group held their final concert, "Therefore," which lasted four days, beginning on January 24 and ending on January 27, 2019, at Gocheok Sky Dome in Seoul, where the group held their debut showcase. Bae Jinyoung made his final appearance as a Wanna One member at the final concert.
2019–present: CIX and solo activities
Following the disbandment of Wanna One, C9 Entertainment announced on February 27 Bae Jinyoung's first Asia fan-meeting tour, "IM YOUNG." The tour stopped in South Korea, the Philippines, Japan, Singapore, Thailand, Hong Kong, and Taiwan.
Bae Jinyoung made his solo debut on April 26 with the release of his self-composed single album, Hard To Say Goodbye.
Bae made his debut as the center, face, and lead dancer of boy band CIX in July 2019, under his label agency C9 Entertainment.
Bae Jinyoung was announced as the male lead in WHYNOT Media Original Drama User Not Found on July 30, 2021. He'll play Shin Yi-jun, a popular high schooler who appears fierce on the outside but is actually delicate. It will be broadcast in November 2021.
Bae made his big screen debut in 2022 with the Thai-Singapore co-production The Antique Shop, which was released on June 2, 2022.
