Asante Duah Ma'at (born October 20, 2001) is an American actor known professionally as Asante Blackk. He is best known for his role in the 2019 miniseries When They See Us, for which he was nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award. He has been a series regular on the television show This Is Us since 2019, for which he received a Critics' Choice Television Award nomination.
Blackk began acting as an elementary school student at the Judith P. Hoyer Montessori School. In a production of The Jungle Book, he played Mowgli. His first professional role was in "How I Learned to Be a Kid" at the Howard Theatre in Washington, after which he obtained representation. In the dramatized miniseries When They See Us, Blackk auditioned for the role of Korey Wise, one of the exonerated members of the Central Park Five, but was instead cast as 14-year-old Kevin Richardson. He was nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award for the role, making him one of the youngest nominees in the award's history. He has been a series regular on This Is Us since 2019.
In Cory Finley's Landscape with Invisible Hand, he will make his film debut.
His personal life includes being the nephew of actress Samira Wiley.
