Arij Fatyma (born Aribah Fatima Jafri on November 7, 1989) is an American television actress and influencer in the Urdu television industry.
Fatyma made her acting debut in the Geo TV series Kis Din Mera Viyah Howay Ga 2 in 2012, and she went on to star in the following series: Mar Jain Bhi To Kya (2012), Humnasheen (2013), Woh (2013), Kissey Apna Kahein (2014), Aik Pal (2015), Ishq Parast (2015), Aap Ke Liye (2016), and Yaar-e-Bewafa (2016). (2017). Fatyma returned to television after a two-year hiatus with ARY Digital's family drama Hasad (2019).
Private life
Fatyma was born in the United States to Syed Jafri and Mehreen Jafri Syed. Syed Qasim and Syed Qadir Jafri are her two brothers. In 2005, the family moved to Karachi. In her matriculation exams in 2005, she finished second in the Board of Secondary Education throughout Karachi.
Fatyma married businessman Faraz Khan in January 2014, and the couple divorced the following year. Her second marriage was to Pakistani physician Ozair Ali, who lives in Canada. In 2017, the ceremony was held in Karachi, Pakistan. Fatyma and her husband are currently residing in Michigan, United States. Fatyma visited Pakistan frequently for acting shoots and continued to appear in projects after her marriage.
Career
Fatyma began her modelling career as a commercial model, appearing in advertisements. She was offered a comic role in the 2012 Geo TV sitcom Kis Din Mera Viyah Howay Ga 2 after working as a model for a few months. The series proved to be her breaking point. She went on to star in a number of successful television shows, including the melodramas Mar Jain Bhi To Kya (2012) and Paree (2013), the romance Kissey Apna Kahein (2014), and the religious drama Aik Pal (2015). She then portrayed an obsessed lover in the romantic drama Aik Pagal Si Larki (2013) and a young faithful wife in the family drama Hum Nasheen (2013), for which she received a Best Soap Actress award and a Hum Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress. Fatyma later received widespread critical acclaim for her performances in the dramas Khilona (2015), Ishq Parast (2015), Aap Ke Liye (2016), and Yaar-e-Bewafa (2017). (2017). She is an ambassador for a number of brands, including Lipton Tea, Mobilink, Cadbury Perk, and Nestle Cerelac, in addition to acting.
