Actress Adria Arjona Torres was born in Puerto Rico on April 25, 1992. She portrayed Dorothy Gale in the 2017 film adaptation of The Wizard of Oz's Emerald City, Anathema Device in the 2019 television version of Good Omens, and Bix Caleen in the 2022 film Andor. In the movies Pacific Rim Uprising (2018), Life of the Party (2018), Triple Frontier (2019), 6 Underground (2019), and Morbius (2022), she played a supporting part.
Arjona was raised in Mexico City until she was twelve years old. She was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Her father, singer-songwriter Ricardo Arjona, is Guatemalan, and her mother, Leslie Torres, is Puerto Rican. She frequently traveled because her father used to bring her along on his trips. She relocated to Miami at the age of 12, where she remained until she was 18 and then made her own journey to New York City. While attending the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute to study acting, she held jobs there as a hostess and waiter.
Early television appearances by Arjona include Dani Silva in two episodes of the drama series Person of Interest (in 2014 and 2015) and Emily in season two of the anthology television series True Detective (2015). Later, she played Dorothy Gale in Emerald City and Anathema Device in the miniseries Good Omens.
She had an appearance as a supporting character in the March 2019 film Triple Frontier before starring in the December 2019 picture 6 Underground.
She co-starred with Jason Momoa in the Netflix film Sweet Girl in 2021.
She began contract discussions in December 2018 to play Martine Bancroft, the movie's female lead, in the Sony spinoff Morbius; her participation was confirmed at the end of January.
She served as the face of the My Way fragrance by Giorgio Armani's 2020 ad campaign.
Arjona and Andy Garcia were announced as the leads of the Warner Bros. adaptation of Father of the Bride in April 2021. The ties in a large Cuban American family serve as the backdrop for the most recent interpretation.
Variety announced in August 2020 that Arjona has been chosen for the Disney+ Star Wars series Andor. Diego Luna, the previously revealed series' star, who previously appeared in the 2016 movie Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, joined her.
Arjona was slated to feature in and serve as executive producer of Tyler Nilson and Michael Schwartz's drama movie Los Frikis, which will be released in October 2021 Additionally, she will play the lead in Zo Kravitz's feature film debut, Pussy Island.
