Former** Pakistan** all- rounder **Abdul Razzaq **is being slammed on social media after a clip of his recent interview on a Pakistani TV channel went viral. Razzaq made some sexist remark agaisnt Pakistan **Women^/s Cricket Team** star** Nida Dar** on the show.

In a video clip from *[G Sarkar with Nauman Ijaz](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_7u7Hlpd0-k&t=755s&ab_channel=GSarkar)* broadcast June 6 on *Neo News*, cricket player **Abdul Razzaq **commented on Dar’s appearance, strongly implying that the cricketer looks more like a man than a woman. The clip recently caught the attention on social media.

Dar and Razzaq were both present as the guests on a show on Pakistani news channel** Neo News** where the topic of discussion was women in sports. 

***"Their field is as such. When they become cricketers, they strive to be as equal as their male counterparts, if not better than them. They want to prove that not only men, but they can also do it as well. The feeling (to get married) is gone. If you shake her hands, you won^/t even feel like she^/s girl**", *Razzaq said on the show.

However, Dar handled Razaaq^/s humiliating comment with a lot of grace and dignity.She explained why women cricketers seem more **‘hardened’** than other women. **"Our profession is such that we have to do batting, bowling and every other thing [that the sport requires] which needs fitness, so yes your body does become hard."**

This isn^/t the first time male cricketers have made sexist remarks. In 2017, cricket and former coach **Waqar Younis** [was called out](https://www.dawn.com/news/1343396) for ^/suggesting^/ on Twitter that the Women^/s World Cup matches should have only 30 overs as the standard 50 were "a few too many"

Razzaq himself isn^/t a stranger to making controversial public remarks. On a television programme in 2019, he [admitted](https://www.thenews.com.pk/latest/500232-abdul-razzaq-admits-to-having-had-multiple-extramarital-affairs) to being involved in extramarital relationships with many women.

Dar has received international appreciation and recognition for her achievements in cricket. She is the first Pakistani cricketer to cross 100 wickets in the T20I format. According to the **ICC**, she is only the sixth cricketer overall to achieve this.In 2019, Dar also became the first Pakistani woman cricketer to [feature in a foreign league](https://www.dawn.com/news/1508842) after she was selected by Sydney Thunder as their overseas professional player in **Australia’s Women’s Big Bash League**.
