**Dakota Johnson** has discussed her low-key relationship with **Chris Martin** in a new interview. 

The **32-year-old actress **- best known for her role as Anastasia in the Fifty Shades franchise - and the Coldplay frontman, 44, have largely kept their four-year relationship out of the spotlight.   

And speaking to **[ELLE magazine](https://www.elle.com/uk/)**, the film star is content it being that way, admitting most of their partying happens ^/inside the house.^/

^/We^/ve been together for quite a while and we go out sometimes, but we both work so much that it^/s nice to be at home and be cosy and private. Most of the partying takes place inside of my house,^/ she explained. 

Elsewhere during the interview, the Texan born, who snatched her first film role alongside her film sensation mother Melanie Griffith **22 **years ago, also expanded on why she feels older and younger at the same time. 

^/I feel both 48 and 26. I’ve had a lot of "life" in my life. I had a lot of life really young, so I think I feel older,^/ she said.

Dakota described her mother Melanie as ^/nurturing, generous and loving and someone who was an ^/amazing partner to her husbands^/ - Dakota^/s father Don, actor Steven Bauer and Spanish star Antonio Banderas. 

Despite this, Dakota noted that ^/there were also really dark times^/ adding that ^/nothing is perfect all the time.^/ 

Elsewhere, The BAFTA winner was highly complimentary of fellow actress Maggie Gyllenhaal and her Lost Daughter co-star Olivia Colman. 

She explained how Maggie - who she dubbed a ^/truth seeker^/ - ignited her to see parts of herself she didn^/t know were thereafter they delved ^/deep into the experience of being a woman, both in film and in this world.^/

Meanwhile, Dakota hailed Olivia as a ^/wild time^/, regaling how she ^/always wants to meet up, drink wine and talk.^/

Not only is Dakota^/s forte acting, but she is also an investor and Co-Creative Director of sexual wellness brand Maude.

She believes that it^/s ^/healthy^/ and a ^/basic human need^/ to have access to quality sexual wellness products.  

^/I’m just remembering I had a dream about our butt plug last night... [I want to explore] what the most pleasurable and seamless and chic and quality experience can be,^/ she concluded.
