The 47-year-old actor told the 26-year-old actress that he would be happy to speak with her for no charge after she quickly commented on her ex-Instagram boyfriend's post promoting an eBay sale to benefit injured veterans.
Zach posted an image of the sale and stated: "Offer a 30-minute Zoom with @donald aison and I in an eBay auction. Through Houses For Our Troops, ALL profits are used to construct custom homes for veterans who have suffered terrible injuries. CLICK THE LINK IN MY BIO!"
The "Don't Worry Darling" star remarked, "I'm definitely going to be placing a bid on this."
Shortly after, the "Scrubs" actor reacted.
He stated: "@florencepugh Although I'm sure you could acquire it for nothing, supporting soldiers is a great thing to do. (sic)"
They wrote: "@zachbraff Gryffindor, you get 10 points for this instance of flirting with @florencepugh. (Sic) "Thumbs up" emoji"
Zach simply reacted with a straight-line mouth emoji in a since-deleted message.
After three years of dating, Florence revealed in August that she and Zach had secretly broken up earlier this year.
She uttered: "Due to the fact that everyone has an opinion on our relationship, we have been trying to separate privately.
"We simply believed that doing something similar would prevent millions of people from telling us how pleased they are that we are not together. So that's what we did. When I talk about it, my throat instantly becomes sore."
Although the celebrity couple only began dating in 2019, their age difference has long been a hot issue on social media.
Even Florence responded to the criticism in 2020, saying that her followers shouldn't get involved in her romantic life.
She responded after seeing the unfavourable comments left on a picture of Zach: "In my 24th year. I don't need you to tell me who I should and shouldn't love, and I wouldn't dare in a million years tell anyone else who they can or cannot. Actually, it has nothing to do with you and is not your place.
"If those rules are not acceptable to you, then I ask that you unfollow me. The vitriol you direct towards him is also directed at me, and I don't want those followers."
