After just returning from the press tour for his most recent film, The Greatest Beer Run Ever, Zac Efron is hard at work on his next endeavour. The real-life Van Erichs, a family that contributed to the development of professional wrestling in the second part of the 20th century, are the subject of the saga The Iron Claw.
Efron will portray world heavyweight champion Kevin Von Erich, opposite Jeremy Allen White (The Bear) and Lily James (Pam & Tommy). For this part, he had to put on a lot of weight.
And it appears that he is already there. Efron is in incredible shape in a recent workout shot shared by Complex, showing some muscular arms and a sculpted chest on top of the shredded six-pack abs he maintains as a mainstay.
For his role in the 2017 comedy Baywatch, Zac Efron underwent a similar drastic muscular makeover, which he has publicly said was less than ideal.
He stated in his October cover story for Men's Health, "I started to get sleeplessness, and I slipped into a very deep depression, for a long time." "That encounter left me feeling exhausted in some way. I had a pretty difficult time refocusing."
He said, "That Baywatch look, I don't know whether that's actually attainable." "Simply put, the skin has too little water. It's fake, it appears CGI, etc. Lasix, potent diuretics were needed to do that. I don't have to do that, then. I really like to have an additional 2–3% body fat than none."
