Why Jen Had to Smash Daredevils Big Hallway Fight, According to She-Hulk Boss

Spoilers for She-Hulk: Attorney at Law Episode 8, "Ribbit and Rip It," which is currently available on Disney+, follow.

The chief writer of She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, Jessica Gao, provided information regarding the Marvel Cinematic Universe series' brief hallway brawl with Daredevil.

Gao discussed the bait-and-switch in an interview with Marvel.com, saying, "We have to keep reminding people that this is Jen's show, this is She-program." Hulk's "How can we either invert a trope, challenge expectations, or base something in humorous reality? is the guiding principle of the entire show. That may be considered the show's ethos. Since this show is so meta, acknowledging and hinting at the iconic Daredevil hallway fight was only inevitable. Of course, we would then have to undercut that with She-Hulk, our gal."
The long-awaited return of Matt Murdock/Daredevil (Charlie Cox) to She-Hulk viewers came in Episode 8, which also teased Daredevil fans by setting up a battle sequence in a hallway that was a recurring theme in Daredevil during its initial run on Netflix. Before the Man Without Fear could fully start eliminating goons (there is a difference between henchmen and goons), Jen Walters (Tatiana Maslany) broke through the ceiling and broke up the fight. This moment is only one example of how She-Hulk has teased Daredevil viewers who are eager to see Charlie Cox reprise his Marvel role by reminding them whose show it is.

Daredevil Enters the Room
Although the tease may have left some Daredevil fans unimpressed, Cox won't be the last time spectators see her in the MCU. Alongside Hawkeye actor Vincent D'Onofrio, the actor is anticipated to reprise his role as Daredevil in the next film Echo. Before the Netflix series Daredevil was cancelled in 2018, Cox and D'Onofrio co-starred in it. The new Disney+ series Daredevil: Born Again, which has been given an 18-episode first season order, will star the two stars.
Regarding Cox's appearance in She-Hulk, the actor said in September that Born Again won't be setting up any significant narrative points in Marvel Studios' courtroom comedy series. Despite this, Cox has stated that he would want for the star of She-Hulk to feature in his future series. "I frequently get asked who actors I would like to see in the Daredevil series. I obviously don't know what Marvel is thinking about that "explained Cox. "If [Maslany] could appear in that, for a few episodes, that would be fantastic. Whether or not that is a possibility is unknown to me, but it seems like fun."

She-Hulk: Attorney at Law's first eight episodes are available to watch on Disney+ right now, and the season finale will be available on October 13.
