After suffering a heart arrest on August 10, 2022, actor and comedian Raju Srivastava was hospitalised to Delhi's AIIMS Hospital. He was working out in a South Delhi gym when he passed out on the treadmill. Immediately after, he was sent to the hospital by his trainer, where he has remained ever since, breathing thanks to a ventilator.
Many people have been thinking of and praying for the comedian ever since he was admitted to the hospital. In the midst of it all, Raju Srivastava's brother Dipoo Srivastava, who is also a comedian, provided an update on his condition.
Dipoo told PTI that his older sibling is steadily improving but is still unconscious. Juraj is stable and breathing with the help of a ventilator, but he is still unconscious, he said. In case you didn't know, Raju Srivastava has been in the hospital for 35 days, and his brother has asked for prayers.
Dipoo Srivastava elaborated, saying that they had decided to keep Raju Srivastava receiving care at AIIMS rather than transfer him to Mumbai. In his post-hospital recovery, he expects to be returned home.
Before becoming a serious actor, Raju Srivastava performed in comedies. Among the many Bollywood films in which he has appeared are Maine Pyar Kiya, Baazigar, Khiladi, and many others. He has already appeared in a number of films before turning to stand-up. It was the inaugural season of The Great Indian Laughter Challenge, and he competed. And he also heads up the Uttar Pradesh Film Development Council as its chairman.
